Riverfront Concert Series on Hold Indefinitely
Riverfront Concerts is not a one-man-show. In fact, it took – and still takes – many people to make it successful.
Unfortunately, one key individual — Orange County concert promoter and friend, Ken Phebus — died unexpectedly last month. His passing has affected us personally, as well as professionally.
Ken was our lifeline to bringing you the great performers you desire and deserve. He was well known, and highly regarded, in the concert world. He was tenacious, and he loved music. His long list of achievements include turning long-forgotten undesirable real estate into nightclub treasures.
Our friendship with Ken spanned more than two decades. We bonded over our love of music, and he put as much blood, sweat and tears into Riverfront Concerts as we did. Because that’s what Ken was best at — recognizing potential venues for outstanding entertainment.
Riverfront Concerts still believe that the Tri-Cities’ riverfront is an ideal place for music entertainment, but filling Ken’s shoes will be challenging.
We appreciate your continued support of Riverfront Concerts, and rest assured we’ll provide updates if/when we’re able to contribute to this area’s summer-time festivities.
